2014 Hunting Season

The 2014 hunting season started off right with a flock of grouse landing near the cabin.

A week or two later Antelope season opening up.  I got this nice buck near the Cabin on Timber Top

Dad came up with his new ATV.

I had  a doe tag too.  Filled them both the same day.

Good times!

A couple weeks later we headed up to dad's to try some elk hunting.

Lunch

More good times, but no elk.

A couple of days later I took a spin up timber top, after school, and go into some.

The lights of Lander below.

Pretty handy when you can get them to fall over on the road.

A couple of more nights later I did the same thing with deer.  Buzzed up right after school and got one.  I usually settle for the first legal (three points or better) thing that surrenders.

He qualified.

A couple of more days later though some guys from work came up.  Scott Polson got this nice deer very close to our cabin.  Awesome!

Mike Read got his first buck ever... first any big game ever.
(It wasn't a legal one- longer story- he turned himself in though.  G and F let him keep the meat... they took the antlers)

Later that day Barney came up and found another one.  Three tags were filled that day.

A few weeks later we were up at Dad's cow elk hunting.  The monkies were along.

Spotted some.

Got some.

Great hunt!  Longer story though.

A few more weeks later Barney and Chuck came up to try their luck with cows.  Barney got one.

Chuck showed us a nifty way to dress them out.

It was an awesome hunting season.  All my tags got filled.  Freezer is full again!
