Lander Mountain Road

Saddled up, ready to ride!

Watch the video: http://youtu.be/s9sb4cxSJFU

After a big dump in the winds, conditions were primed to get out.  Couldn't get any of my usual ski partners to go out though.  Dunno what they were thinking.  Seamus, my five year old son, was game though.  After breakfast we headed up the canyon.  We were on the old Polaris (figured it'd be good for the thin road down below) motoring by 10 AM.  After the first couple of switchbacks we found ourselves breaking trail in a foot of fresh, that quickly turned into two feet the higher we got up.  Great riding!

Seamus, as we crest a ridge and enter Homestead Park.

The last mile was deep.  Seamus got good powder coating.

Weehoo!  (Actually, he was a wee bit cold at this point).

Our camper in the sky!

Next year we hope to have a cabin built.  Got the outhouse and foundation in place.

Warming up with hot chocolate.

All smiles now!

Hard to believe I pedaled my bike up the draw below the sled, just last week.  Wow!

After warming up, Seamus headed back out to shred some pow!

 Good stuff!!!
