Atlantic Peak Expedition

It's been a few years since I've climbed and skied Atlantic Peak.  It's a big tour.  Near 7000 feet of climbing the way we did it.  Rare that you will have powder conditions up there... but it is the highest peak in the southern most Winds- around 12,500 feet.  It's a great tour.  I've done it a few times now, a couple with Chuck and Karla... might be the only person that has ever bothered, in the winter at least.

We figured it'd be good training for our new adventure race team.  We're gearing up for REV Cowboy Tough Race this summer.  Casey is our captain.  She'd never been backcountry skiing before at all.  Mandy let her borrow some gear to join us for this expedition.  She did great- very strong!
