More Southern Wind River Powder

Southern Wind River Mountains
Christina Lake Area, Shohsone, NF
January 19th, 2008

Went looking for lines on the local hill again today.

Mmmm, mmm good!

Going up.

A look the other direction, towards Christina Lake.

A look at the lake again from near the top, right above a ripe cornice.

The bottom part of my first run. Really good stuff!

The top was fun too, not quite as deep though.

A profile of the first run.

I got a few more runs in. Just a few...

Taking break after a few runs. The weather was gorgeous!

Couldn't resist. Who could?

Looking down on same rock. Beautiful for hucking practice!

The day produced alot of turns.

Wow!

After six runs and near 3k of vertical, it was time to make the mile skin back to the machine for the 15 mile snow machine ride home.

The weather was going down a bit anyway.

A final look back.

Back on the lake, the Polaris awaits.

Another great day in the Winds!
