Deer Park Knob

Deer Park Knob Morning Run, Sunday February 5th, 2006

I was running a bit later today. Didn't get the Skidoo rolling from the Louis Lake Parking lot until almost 9:00am. I was still the first one up the trail though.

Didn't long to figure out that it had snowed the night before. Six inches or so of fresh powder on everything! Awesome, except that meant the trail into the bigger stuff at Christina Lake would not be broken yet. Oh well, I've been wanting to speck out this little knob above Deer Park anyway.

Here's a view from the top of the know looking towards the Christina Lake Basin

The splits on Deer Park Knob- getting ready to become one. Ha!

Might first run down. Great powder!

Looking up at the run.

A side view of the slope.

It was so good, I did it twice. It was a shorter run though, so I decided to wrap things up at Deer Park Knob and head on into the Christina Lake basin to get on some bigger stuff. I was on the machine and rolling agian about 11:30am.
