Jules Bowl

The Darran and Stacy Show!

Been a couple of years since I last visited Jules Bowl. About a month ago Darran expressed some interest in skiing it. I planned a day off and we went for it. The weather cooperated, at least the it got warmer- it had been below zero for a few days prior. No new snow though, so the couloirs were pretty bomber (hard pack/ wind crust). It was good to get up one though. After one hike and crudbusters run down it though, we headed over to more north facing tree shots, where the snow was great. A great day overall. Thanks Darran/ Stacy! Good to get up there again.

Darran and Stacy at the base of the couloir we decided to try first.

Heading up.

Darran breaks trail.

Half way up. Wasn't long before we had to get our boot pack on.

Darran makes it to the top- gazes across the towards the Winds.

Shad, Bonneville Pass in the background.

Almost there (the two black dots just under the orange ski are the sleds).

Takin in the view from the top.

Darran soaks up some rays.

Time to drop.

Schralpin' the crud!

Darran restin' the fatties- eyeing his next turn.

Stacy, happy that Darran has the fatties, but wishing her heal was free.

Darran perches on a ridge where the coulior splits- still sniffin for pow. It was slim pickin's for sure.

Stacy starts throwing in turns.

After the couloir was done- we headed across the bowl where we new the snow would be better. Turned out to be pretty damn good actually. Gotta few runs in before our time was up.

Stacy launches over a log- loving the pow!

Weeehooo!

Looking back at our lines through a nifty little powder patch. Good stuff!
